Powered by up to AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395, the desktop combines up to 128GB unified memory, local large language model support and multi-node scalability for professional AI workflows.
MSI announced the PRO MAX EDGE AI+, a 4-liter desktop PC designed for professionals, agile teams and security-conscious organizations that want to run demanding AI workloads locally. The system combines up to an AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395 processor, up to 128GB of LPDDR5X-8000 unified memory, integrated Radeon™ 8060S graphics and a dedicated XDNA™ 2 neural processing unit in a compact aluminum chassis with a built-in 300W power supply.
The MSI PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is designed to support local AI inference, content creation, data analysis and advanced business applications while reducing dependence on cloud processing. Keeping compatible workloads and data on the device can help organizations improve responsiveness and retain greater control over sensitive information, subject to the software and deployment practices they use.
Up to 126 TOPS of AI Performance in a 4-Liter Desktop
At the heart of the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is the AMD Ryzen™ AI Max+ 300 Series, with configurations available up to the Ryzen™ AI Max+ 395. The flagship processor integrates 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 40 RDNA™ 3.5 graphics compute units and an XDNA™ 2 NPU delivering up to 50 TOPS. The complete platform delivers up to 126 TOPS of total AI performance, giving users CPU, GPU and NPU resources for AI-assisted productivity and compute-intensive professional workloads.
Unified Memory Expands the Scope of Local AI
The PRO MAX EDGE AI+ supports up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory at 8000 MT/s, with up to 96GB configurable as graphics memory . Because the CPU and integrated GPU share the same memory pool, compatible AI applications can access more memory than is typically available to a conventional integrated GPU. In supported configurations, the system can run large language models with up to 120 billion parameters locally. Actual model compatibility and performance vary according to model architecture, quantization, context length, software and system configuration.
Multi-System Clustering for Larger Models
For teams whose workloads exceed the capacity of one computer, multiple PRO MAX EDGE AI+ systems can be connected as a local cluster. MSI’s published validation table includes configurations ranging from a two-node setup for selected 120B and 235B models to a four-node setup for DeepSeek-V3.1 with 671 billion parameters using Q4_0 quantization. This approach allows teams to scale local inference capacity while maintaining control over their deployment environment. Results depend on the selected model, quantization, cluster software and workload.
Thermal Design for Sustained Workloads
MSI equips the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ with Frozr AI Pro cooling and Glacier Armor storage cooling. A copper heat spreader, three heat pipes and a triple-fan design help manage heat during sustained AI and professional workloads, while dedicated heatsinks support the system’s dual PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD slots.
Compact Design, Flexible Connectivity
The 4-liter aluminum chassis integrates a 300W power supply, eliminating the need for a bulky external power adapter. A three-stage physical performance switch lets users select calibrated power profiles without opening a software control panel, helping balance performance, thermals and acoustics for different tasks.
For network and display connectivity, the PRO MAX EDGE AI+ supports Wi-Fi 7 and up to four independent displays through HDMI™ 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a and two USB 40Gbps Type-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode. Additional front and rear connections include USB Type-A ports, dual audio jacks, RJ45 Ethernet and an SD 4.0 UHS-II card reader.
Who Is the MSI PRO MAX EDGE AI+ For?
The MSI PRO MAX EDGE AI+ is intended for AI developers, researchers, creative professionals, small studios and organizations that need a compact workstation for local inference, retrieval-augmented generation, content creation, data analysis or multi-display business workflows. Its on-device design is especially relevant when teams want lower cloud dependence, predictable local access and greater control over data location.
